Hellstorm was formed in August 1997 by Amok (guitars/vocals), Elden (bass) and Vorgon (drums). The first 7" EP was released by Oskorei Productions in the spring of 1998. It had a very harsh and primitave sound. After Elden left to join Einherjer, Koma joined on bass. After receiving a deal proposal from Head Not Found, Hellstorm planned to record their debut album in May 1998. The recording were set back until July, due to the death of drummer Vorgon. His replacement, Vargon, joined the band on the condition that they changed the original album title from "Bleeding Fuck" to "Fucking Bleed." Several line up changes later, the Hellstorm personnel is: Amok (guitar/vocals), Koma (bass), Vargon (drums), Kjekle (guitar) and Penis as a third live guitarist.
