KITTIE, THINE EYES BLEED, NIGHT OF DEMONS, AND ACACIA PAY TRIBUTE TO DAVE LANDER AT MEMORIAL SHOW

LONDON, Ontario Kittie, Thine Eyes Bleed, Night of Demons, and a reunited Acacia will pay tribute to Dave Lander band manager, father, and friend who passed away unexpectedly in August on December 12 at Call the Office in London, Ontario.

The evening with bring together and reunite the area's most well-known bands in honor of the Lander, who played a role in each of their careers. Kittie is fresh off a European and Russian tour, Thine Eyes Bleed will be appearing playing for the first time after a one-year hiatus, Night of the Demons will play after a two-year absence from thelocal music scene, and Acacia's original members will once again join together for this special event. Each band's performance will express what words alone can not, but the bands' members have commented on Lander and his personal impact on them:

JUSTIN WOLFE, SINGER ACACIA AND THINE EYES BLEED
"I have to say, I would have never imagined I would be here writing this right now. When Dave suddenly passed away this August he took a piece of my heart...to say the least. The Lander family is truly like no other; those of you who have had the privilege to spend time with the family and Dave know exactly what I am talking about. I have been a part of the extended family for about 8-9 years now, and after losing my father in 2003, Dave stepped in, was a father to me and treated me like a son, but he was also a friend...a friend that would always want you to be yourself and have a good time. From the early days of Acacia through the long tough years with Thine Eyes Bleed, Dave was the one person who always kept me fighting for my dreams. Dave as a manager had a magic about him that would allow him to see through the bullshit and always keep fighting to reach the top. It was never about him. It was always about us (the bands) and making sure that everyone else was take! n care of and happy. From the steak and wine dinners to the backyard BBQs and the long road trips waiting for that cold beer, things will never be the same. I expect to see everyone that shares any of these wonderful memories on December 12, as we (the bands, friends, family) have been working hard to make this a night to remember and celebrate the life of Dave Lander.

I miss and love you, Dave... 'I'll get the first beer, the rest are in the fridge.' 'What else is happening?'"

MORGAN AND MERCEDES LANDER, KITTIE
"This is the hardest for us because not only was Dave our manager, he was also our father. Through it all, he was there to ease our worry, lighten the load and the situation, and make things work no matter what. He was the 'every man,' taking on tasks from booking shows to loading the trailer. He did it all! And despite all the odds, he helped to make our dreams of being a successful band a reality. His dedication to the band and his family were something that no money could ever buy. He was a husband, father, manager, and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments on December 12 in true Dave Lander fashion; with a stiff drink and some loud music. Our Daddy would be proud!"

TANYA CANDLER, ORIGINAL KITTIE BASSIST
"I feel so honored to be able to pay tribute to such a wonderful man, Dave Lander, on the 12th of December. Dave would be overjoyed to see everyone gathered together to celebrate his life. Dave was a father, husband, friend, and mentor. He was a friend to everyone, and was the first person to lend a kind ear, shoulder to cry on, or a helping hand. He would always greet you with a smile, steak, and a glass of homemade wine. I will miss our 'Papa Kittie' so much, but I know our love, warm memories, and music will travel to him, wherever he may be."

TRISH DOAN, KITTIE BASSIST 20052007
"Dave Lander touched the lives of all those who ever knew him. He brought out the best in everyone with his tenacious high spirits and energy for life. I'm grateful to have known him and could never thank him enough for all that he has done for me. Dave was like a surrogate father to me and I'm honored to be a part of this memorial show to pay tribute to his life. Steak and wine will never be the same without you, Dave!"

TARA MCLEOD, GUITARIST FOR KITTIE
"I'm very excited for the homecoming show on December 12th. It's going to be a celebration of the life of Dave Lander. I feel privileged to have become so close to him and to have been treated as one of his children. Anyone who had the opportunity to get to know Dave knows that his goal was for everyone to enjoy themselves no matter what. This is our chance to tip our hats to him and say thank him for everything. We love and miss him."

IVY VUJIC, BASSIST FOR KITTIE
"It upsets me and frustrates me to think that Dave Lander will not be physically standing by our side on December 12th...to talk to us, help us, cheer us on, ease our anxiety, lighten up the mood, and make sure that everyone is having a good time as he has always done in the past... Dad, friend, advisor, supporter...he took me in as part of his family and was always there, no questions asked. I know that he is in all of our hearts and will be mingling in the crowd in spirit. So on December 12th we will raise our glasses and give Dave a big 'Cheers' and 'Thank You' and we will celebrate and rejoice how lucky we are to have been graced with such an incredible person in our lives!"

JEFF PHILLIPS, GUITARIST, THINE EYES BLEED, GUITARIST KITTIE, 2001-2004
"I was crushed to find out of the passing of David Lander. I have known him and his family for about 10 years. I am a better person for having had such a close relationship with him. It is an honor to play in his memory on December 12. All the bands playing were not only managed by him, but were encouraged, supported, and loved. I, for one, would never have had the opportunity to see my dreams come to fruition had it not been for him. I miss ya, Dave." The tickets for the memorial show will be available online Friday, November 21 at http://www.ticketscene.ca. The cost is $10. Doors are at 8 p.m. Call the Office is located at 216 York Street in London, Ontaraio. (519) 432-4433

LEGENDARY BLUES GUITARIST HUBERT SUMLIN & ROCK VOCAL GIANT DAVID JOHANSEN TEAM UP FOR HABERDASHERY'S BLUES DEBUT, NOV. 29

TRENTON, N.J. -- Combining roaring dance-hall excitement, sophisticated and fast-paced entertainment and the red-hot musical intensity of an after-hours supper club, Haberdashery takes its position as the crown jewel of New Jersey's capitol-city nightlife scene. Haberdashery is honored to present its premiere blues event with legendary guitarist Hubert Sumlin and iconic New York vocalist David Johansen at the George Washington Ballroom in Trenton 's restored War Memorial. Haberdashery's night of blues promises to encapsulate the party atmosphere of a Delta juke joint, the sonic intensity of a South Side club, and the world-class musicianship of road-tested veteran artists. With the same spirited whirlwind of exuberance typified by the holiday season, Sumlin and Johansen, backed by New Jersey's own award-winning blues guitarist Billy Hector (and his band), will stage an unforgettable night of sizzling, uplifting electric blues. Trenton 's Paul Plumeri and Joe Zook will kick-off the night at 8pm with an acoustic blues set.

Haberdashery's blues debut couldn't be more timely and festive: this holiday-season performance comes on the heels of Sumlin's 77th birthday a celebratory musical event that's certain to endear fans and admirers alike to Sumlin's penchant for extemporaneous musical composition, fan-friendly persona, personal determination, and boyish grin. Sumlin, one of the genuine sweethearts of the blues community, spent a quarter of a century ripping his searing, idiosyncratic and plectrum-less solos under the auspices of his mentor and musical complement, Howlin' Wolf, which have inspired a gaggle of guitar gods -- everyone from Eric Clapton and Frank Zappa to Jimi Hendrix, Jack White, Peter Green, Carlos Santana, Keith Richards, Jimmy Page, Stevie Ray Vaughan and countless others. Throughout his career, Sumlin has shared recording studios and stages with such blues and rock 'n' roll luminaries as Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Les Paul, Jimmy Reed, Sunnyland Slim, "Pinetop" Perkins, Eddie Taylor, and James Cotton.

Today, Sumlin is experiencing much-deserved critical recognition and solo success, a condition in part sparked by the release of his 2005 record About Them Shoes, his winning of a 2008 Blues Foundation's Blues Music Award, and his continued ability to soldier on in the wake of cancer surgery, which has left him with only one lung. As Sumlin is fond of saying, "I ain't through yet." Musical master chameleon and Ray-Ban-donning Johansen, whose creative vision has helped to shape and create influential acts such as Buster Poindexter and New York Dolls (not to mention his own critically acclaimed solo career), has appeared on the big and small screens in feature films including Scrooged, Freejack (with Mick Jagger), Married to the Mob, and Tales from the Darkside: The Movie and as a vocalist for SNL's house band. With Sumlin by his side, Johansen, in Wolf-esque sandpapery voice, will soulfully and successfully interpret timeless blues.

Blues aficionados and casual fans alike are anticipating a delicious Cajun-spiced menu and great music to match the buzz Haberdashery is generating. Tickets, priced sensibly at just $49, are an invitation to a glorious evening of great entertainment, including an evening of blues and the above-mentioned dinner. Music only entry after 8pm is also available at $29.50.

Haberdashery, an exciting milestone in Trenton's ongoing revitalization effort to feature original American musical artforms in New Jersey's capitol, heralds a dazzling new chapter in and further fortifies the cultural refinement of the state's rich jazz history, which runs the gamut from famous home-grown personalities (such as Count Basie, Frank Sinatra, Cozy Cole, Joe Pass, and Sarah Vaughan, among others) to thriving nightclubs dotting all points from Newark to the Atlantic City Pier. For tickets call The Patriots Theater Box Office at (609) 984-8400 or online at thewarmemorial.com or tickets.com (800) 955-5566.

FILTER READYING RELEASE OF "REMIXES FOR THE DAMNED"

Multi-Platinum, politically-fueled rockers, Filter, will be releasing a remix album featuring brand new takes on various tracks from their latest masterpiece, Anthems For The Damned. The REMIXES FOR THE DAMNED album will be available on November 4.

FILTER's first independently released album, Anthems for the Damned, is a pro-troops, anti-war statement that also tackles the need to look around at the state of things and what kind of world we are leaving to our children. Making a return to his industrial roots, Richard Patrick feels that some of these songs could benefit from an industrial feel. Patrick states, "I love the way Anthems sounds, but I just wanted to try something new. I've been living with the tracks for the past year and half so I felt it would be interesting to get a different take on some of these songs."

Set for a digital-only release, the new album features remakes of select songs on Anthems by Richard Patrick, Mitch Marlow, John Spiker, Clayton W (Revolting Cocks, Ministry), Timmy the Terror Anderson (Ima Robot), Rae DiLeo (Producer, Engineer for Filter), Ben Wise (Producer), Ryan Williams, Carlos Villalobos and John O'Brien. The release will be available all over the web, for specific outlets please see http://www.myspace.com/filter1

Soldiers of Misfortune (Justin Eyerly) 6. In Dreams (Chase the White Rabbit into Pakistan) 7. Kill the Day (Drunken Forgive Mes) 8. Cold (Desert Sky) 9. LION'S SHARE new album coming soon.

Blistering Records is pleased to announce that Swedish melodic heavy metal masters LION'S SHARE are putting the final touches on "Dark Hours", the followup to 2007's "Emotional Coma", for release in March 2009.

The band states, "The new songs are simply awesome and everybody that have heard it, think it's our best album to date. The red thread lyric wise on this album is that all songs are about things that happened in the late sixties; a decade known for many good things. However, we're not describing the happy times of the 60's: We give you the Dark Hours. Musically it's more straight forward and faster than ever. The songs are filled with energy and great hooks."

"Dark Hours" will be mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Symphony X, Paradise Lost, Amon Amarth), and features guest slots from Mike Romeo (Symphony X) guest solo on "Behind The Curtain", Conny Pettersson (from Earache Records death metal act ANATA) - drums, Richard Evensand (Chimaira, Soilwork).

Tenative tracklisting is:

Judas Must Die
Phantom Rider
Demon In Your Mind
Heavy Cross To Bear
The Bottomless Pit
Full Metal Jacket
The Presidio 27
Barker Ranch
Napalm Nights
Space Scam
Behind The Curtain
King Of All The Kings (bonus track - included on the limited edition digipak and Japanese version)

Iconic Metal Band KEEL Reunites In 2009

ORIGINAL MEMBERS PERFORM TOGETHER FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 20 YEARS FOR THE BAND'S 25TH ANNIVERSARY

HOLLYWOOD, CA (November 18th, 2008) - 2009 will mark iconic metal band KEEL's 25th anniversary, and the passing of two decades since the original lineup played on stage together. Unlike most of their contemporaries, none of the members has ever performed as KEEL since 1989.

Ron Keel, guitarists Marc Ferrari & Bryan Jay, drummer Dwain Miller along with Geno Arce (Ron's long-time bassist) are preparing to perform again for the first time in 20 years. "It would not have been right without these guys," expresses Ron Keel. With the high volume of requests for the band to reunite, the members felt the time is right to deliver the show fans everywhere have been demanding: a KEEL reunion.

In 1985, "The Right To Rock" became the fastest-selling debut album in A&M Record's history. Selling over 2 million albums the band was proclaimed the Best New Band by Metal Edge and Circus Magazines.

The title track was a hit on radio & MTV and remains a staple on VH1 Classic, in addition to the group's subsequent hits "Tears Of Fire," "Because The Night," "Somebody's Waiting,"and "Rock & Roll Outlaw." They developed a reputation as one of the genre's most entertaining live acts, opening for heavyweights like Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, and Van Halen amongst many others.

Plans are for KEEL to reunite at a select number of festivals and showcase dates in 2009 to perform all their hits and classic favorites in celebration of 25 years of rock n roll history. The KEEL "Debut Reunion Concert" will take place in Hollywood on Saturday, January 31st. The location for this historic event will be Club Vodka at The Knitting Factory visit the web site and MySpace for details.
