On the debut, full length release from L.A. rockers Portable, "Secret Life,"  you'll be exposed to a collection of twelve, radio ready rock songs that should end up getting into heavy rotation on college radio. This is the stuff I hear all the time on the stations I listen to. Nothing really to call home about, but, something worth lending an ear to. The stand out, in my opinion, is "Boy-Girl," which features Berlin's ("Take My Breath Away," remember that song) Teri Nunn on guest vocals, doing a duet with vocalist Chance. Another tune worth mentioning is "Medicate It," which comes close to sounding like a laid back Nirvana song.

To give it a simple review, if you want a record to rock out to, this is it. If you're looking for something totally over the top to blow your mind, you might wanna look elsewhere because this one doesn't do that much. http://www.portablemusic.com
