By Wayne Klinger Continuing on with Adrenaline Records, this is another U.S. band but from the opposite coast of Accomplice,New York City. This release by the five-piece is two of their previous works combined into one release with a bonus studio track;thus bringing the totals to 17 tracks and 73 minutes of progressive metal with a heavy use for keyboards. Another Dream Theater influenced band with a more prominent 80's style like Tokyo Blade,Exxplorer and Heir Apparent(due to the keyboard use). The production is top-notch since Pat MacPherson was at the helm and well noted for his past dabblings with Johnny Winters,Steve Perry, Brian Setzer and Muddy Waters. Not the most original band, but they show some good songwriting with the perplexed timings and offbeat structurings and shifts. |
