"Praying, Hoping, Nothing"
InZane Records

By Martha Hughes

The first blasting of the guitars could have been a good sign. I was PRAYING to an ancient Pagan god that this would be a good CD. The dueling guitars are quite talented, and have a really good sound. I was HOPING that the rest of the CD would be as great as the beginning guitar licks. But then the vocals kicked up. The sound of a thousand rats fleeing a sinking ship would not be as terrible. In the end, this CD was NOTHING but crap. I couldn't even listen due to the wretchedness of the vocals. They are high-pitched without being black metal-ish. They were so annoying that I while listening to them, the thought of slicing my writsts gave me pleasure; at least I wouldn't have to hear them any longer. I couldn't listen to the entire CD. And believe me, I tried. Oh, yes, I tried. This band is going for the top-40, jump around, jock hard-rock sound and due to the lack of taste by corporate music suits, they'll probably be big.
