By Paul Autry Alexander Paul and John Donavan were both members of the legendary Pennsylvania band, Youth In Asia, who charted on Billboard with their explosive single, "Kamakazi." With their Youth In Asia days well behind them, these two respected area musicians have reunited in the form of an explosive new band, Kruzt. This is a reunion that was long overdue and, not wanting to rest on what they've accomplished in the past, they've put out what is probably the most unique and highly anticipated album to come out of the local music scene, "No Accounting For Taste." On the surface, most people might consider the style of music your basic rock and roll. But, a more detailed listen will expose the fact that there's nothing basic about it, there's something special here. If you pay close attention to the music, you'll notice a lot going on in each song. As for the lyrical content, it's the writing of a genius. To find a meaning in any of these songs will require a lot of thought and, even then, you might not get it. Included on this release is a totally new version of "Kamakazi" and a re-worked version of "No Accounting For Taste," which was an unreleased Youth In Asia song. So, they do give a tip of the hat to where they come from, but, where they're going is a whole new road. Once the rest of the world gets hip to what Kruzt is all about, Alexander Paul and John Donavan will scale the heights of success and be hailed as two of the most creative and original musicians ever to come out of the Pennsylvania music scene.
