By Paul Autry I'm not sure why I got this album to review. First, it's from 1992 and, second, after a quick look at The Emerald City web page, I didn't find any mention of the band, with the exception of the lead singer, Bernard Edwards, who is involved in a new project (which looks pretty interesting). With that said, what can I say about Sister Morphine? Hell, this band is everything I look for in an artist. Straight forward, party music style rock 'n' roll with a heavy dose of sleaze (like L.A. Guns and Boston's Witch Bonnie) and the Guns 'N' Roses "take no shit" attitude. This is the kind of music that really trips my trigger. I'm not sure where you can get a copy of this disc, but, like the good Lord says, "Seek and ye shall find!" Any effort you put into locating a copy of this album will be well worth it in the end. http://www.emeraldcityrecordings.com/ |
