I was rather suprised to find out that this is the debut album by Soul Angel. Why, you ask, is that such a suprise? Well, because this album is so damn good, that's why. After checking out their web page, it was clear that these guys have been around the musical block more than once. So, combined, the five guys in the band take their knowledge and put it to good use. The ten songs on this album are all solid and well written and, when it comes to the more rockin' songs, there's a good, thick sound there that I really like. Even the mellow, keyboard/acoustic tunes, such as "Hear Angels Sing," the band still comes off sounding rather heavy. Soul Angel is a focused band and it shows in their music. Very professional and very good...damn good. You'd be wise to check it out and, who knows, you might like what you hear. In fact, I'm sure you will. http://www.soulangel.net
