AmbrosiaReal Artists Working: Ambrosia I've seen one or two of these releases before and, to be honest with you, they haven't featured anyone that I'm really into. I'd like to see 'em enter into the world of hard rock or, better yet, an independent band. Yeah, now there's an idea. Something like this could be even better if they focused on someone you never heard. It would give 'em something to release on DVD and it would give the band in question some good exposure. Anyway, this release features Ambrosia and, while I've never been a big fan of their music, the members of the band all seem to be really cool people. I don't think I'd ever go to one of their shows. But, I wouldn't mind hangin' around with 'em at a bar or something like that. This release doesn't really show the band working so to speak. There's some footage of the band doing a soundcheck. But, for the most part, this is more or less a release that allows you to get to know the men behind the music and what makes them tick. You also get to see 'em do a few tunes live, so, there you go, that's the working part. I was focused on this release and what was going on for one simple reason...Alex. She's the host and, besides being an exceptionally good looking woman, she's got a great personality and I believe she's the reason for this release being so entertaining. When she's talking with the band, it seems that she brings out the best in them. She's serious in what she's doing, but, she's not like, ask a question, get an answer, ask another question. She's cool, she's hip and she's real. Gotta love it. |
