rock band. I have not heard much about this band, but I have heard the
name and the music on this is solid 70’s rock with a boogie feel.
Sort of like the Ozark Mountain Daredevils at times. The sound and film
parts of this are great and if you’re a fan of the band this is
easily a must have and I enjoyed this bands brand of rock n roll. Info: FRANK ZAPPA/The Freak-Out List (MVD Visual) I am no fan of Frank Zappa
at all as I think he is boring and his music I found to put me to sleep.
This is like a life story DVD of the man and if you’re a fan of
his, you might like this, but like I said I never liked him, thought he
was big time overated and therefore I did not get into this at all. Info: INCOGNITO/Live In London (MVD Visual) This is some cool nice sounding
jazz music. The band on this have a really smooth jazz easy going sound
and the vocals and music are great on this. Yes I do like some jazz and
this band really surprised me. Over 3 hours of stuff on this and the sound
and production on this are perfect. No this isn’t metal, but this
was some nice cool jazz. Info: MUSE/Under Review (MVD Visual) This is an album review of this band and
they are a modern rock band. I found their music rather boring and bringing
nothing new to the table. They have various people talking about the band,
etc and that is all well and good, but the band is awful. Info: IAN DURY/Rare & Unseen (Wienerworld) I found this really boring as
the man Ian doesn’t say anything interesting on this and his music
I found quite boring too. This did nothing for me whatsoever. Yawn. Info: CLIFF RICHARD/Rare & Unseen (Wienerworld) I actually have a greatest
hits CD from this guy as he had a few hits in the 70’s and was more
of a power pop type of guy. This has some really old footage on it and
it is cool if your really into the man and his music. This was somewhat
enjoyable to me as I am a bit familiar with him and this didn’t
bore me to tears like the above DVD. Good for what it is. Info: THE LAST TESTAMENT OF GEORGE HARRISON/Paul McCartney Is Really Dead (MVD
Visual) Is this just a bunch of junk. Actually this is a farce. This DVD
is a story about some package that has 2 tapes in it with some guy that
has a voice like George Harrison saying that Paul McCartney was killed
in a car crash and replaced with a double!!! This is a bunch of Weekly
World News trash DVD that belongs in the garbage. Don’t waste your
money on this crap. Info: THE ROLLING STONES/Rare & Unseen (Wienerworld) I am not a fan of
The Rolling Stones, but this has lots of early footage and most of it
really old and I am sure most have never seen before. If you’re
a fan of the band, you will want this. Info: THE ROLLING STONES/The Mick Taylor Years (Chrome Dreams) This has some
people talking about the band and some footage, but overall this is a
waste of time and money if you buy this. They make it seem like there
is all this old footage and I am not a big fan of the band, but I don’t
need to watch a bunch of people talk up the band as they are already legends.
Info: JANIS JOPLIN/Final 24 (MVD Visual) This is another waste of money as
they have visual re-enactments of the final 24 hours of Joplin’s
life. This was big time boring and to me seemed like a cash in on her.
Don’t waste your money on this crap. Info: VOLBEAT/Tour diary (Mascot Records) This is a great double DVD is your
into this band. Tons of live footage from all the place. This band is
another modern rock band and they aren’t bad for the style of music
that they play. This isn’t my cup of tea so to say, but at 230 minutes
you are getting your money’s worth and then some with this. If you’re
a fan of the band, this is a must have. Info: THE KINKS/You Really Got Me (Voice Point) The Kinks are a old rock band
and have had a few hits in the US and you will find them on here…You
Really Got Me, Superman, Come Dancing. I think The Kinks are a decent
rock n roll band and I remember a double live album that was great and
I also saw them once live and they were really good. As with the case
with a lot of these DVD’s, if you’re a fan of the band, you’ll
want this. Info: DEL CLOSE GOLD/Before Woodstock, Beyond Reality (MVD Visual) This was
some film set in 1968 before Woodstock and I found this to be boring.
I didn’t like any of the music and I was a wee child when Woodstock
came and went and I didn’t find this film funny or even good in
any way shape for form. It should have stayed buried. Info: KEITH MOON/His Final Hours (MVD Visual) This is a documentary about the
last 24 hours of Keith Moon’s life and I am not a big fan of The
Who, but if you are, I think you would find this quite likeable and interesting.
Info: JEFF HEALEY AND THE JAZZ WIZARDS/Beautiful Noise (MVD Visual) I really
didn’t much of value on this at all. The music bored me and again
if your into this guy you will like this, but for it is not my cup of
tea. Info: |
