BRIAN "HEAD" WELCH WRAPS UP VIDEO, NEW MUSIC POSTED ONLINE

Phoenix, Arizona: Former KoRn guitarist Brian "Head" Welch wrapped up filming his first video in Los Angeles, for the track, "Flush", which is taken from his upcoming debut solo album, "Save Me From Myself". The video was directed by Frankie Nasso of Nova Entertainment (Mudvayne, Hatebreed, All That Remains, Walls of Jericho, etc.) The story-line takes a surprising turn away from what the conservative press would expect from Head and his spiritual awakening and takes an "in your face," gritty, but very honest look at the depths to which individuals will go to satisfy their drug/alcohol addictions or other vices. Wrapped with footage of real life stories, and over-layed with other innuendo, Head's performance steals the picture and will answer anyone's questions as to whether he can still rock as hard or harder than his earlier days in KoRn. The literal message in the final screen will get viewers thinking long and hard about any pre-conceived judgments they have about those in society typically viewed as losers.

DARK FUNERAL TO ENTER THE STUDIO

Ave everyone! So, finally it's time. On Monday, August 18, Chaq Mol and I will enter the studio together with producer Örjan Örnkloo (Misery Loves Co.) to begin the songwriting process of a new, yet untitled full-length album. Exactly how long it will take is hard to say, but we hope to be done with pre-production within the next 3-4 weeks. We already have quite some material written so I feel that we are as pre-prepared as we can be at this stage. We will only work in the studio during the weekdays. So every weekend when we're home we'll post a studio report to keep you updated.

OF THE ARCHAENGEL comments new album recordings

- Recently the dark metal band OF THE ARCHAENGEL entered studio to record its debut album. The recordings are taking place at Scremin Studio in Săo Paulo/Brazil

"We will use at the OA album some studio techniques shared by the producer Roy -Z (Bruce Dickinson, Judas Priest, Halford) in his last Brazilian visitation, and the expactations of course is to obtain an excepcional result to this project" says Gus Scremin, the producer and sound engineer.

Alex, former member of the band comments: "After extense research we decided to work with Gus and his studio because of its extreme musical refinement and its experience on working with high-level productions. In fact these points are requirements and needs of our songs since we work with a lot of musical elements and it´s not that simple to make all of this to sound good, clear and in accordance on what we idealize for the album as a final result".

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina’s own sons The Classic Struggle have announced they are debuting a new song called “Stat Unionville” on their myspace: http://www.myspace.com/theclassicstruggle. The song is from their forthcoming album titled Bring Back the Glory, due out September 2nd on Ironclad Recordings. This song has a very emotional significance to the band as guitarist Chris Grant revealed, “Our drummer Tyler Solnosky had an accident a couple years back and this song was written about him. It isn’t a focus on religion but it was a huge shock factor. When he fell, he was in a drug induced coma for a week. It was really hard. It took us a year and a half to write again. In that time he had to learn to walk and play drums again. Once he got back to playing, it was the first song we wrong together, and we grew tighter as a band. When he relearned to play, instead of playing fast and intricate beats, he really learned what beats are the best fit.”

Of the band’s sound Grant said “We never tried to target anything or anyone when we wrote this material. We pretty much just call ourselves thrash. We don’t try to label it; we don’t want to try to put some fancy name on it. We just wanted a return to the glory days of metal with a modern twist.” Grant continued about both the sound and theme of Bring Back the Glory. Swedish metal contingent Sonic Syndicate has announced an October 14 US release date for their upcoming album, Love and Other Disasters. The album will see a September 19 release date in Europe. The crushing new release is a follow-up to 2007's acclaimed Only Inhuman, which hit #64 on the German album charts and #22 on the Swedish charts!

ATTACK! ATTACK! SIGNS WITH ROCK RIDGE MUSIC

Debut Album Coming In October

Wales-based quartet Attack! Attack! have signed with Rock Ridge Music and plan to release their self-titled debut album (produced by Stuart Richardson of Lostprophets) via the label and ADA Global in the U.K. on October 6th and in the U.S. on October 7th. ABIGAIL WILLIAMS COMPLETES DEBUT ALBUM

Philadelphia: Abigail Williams has completed work on their full-length debut album titled In the Shadow of a Thousand Suns. Produced by James Murphy and featuring contributions from Trym Torson (Emperor/Zyklon), the album has been confirmed for an October 28 American release. "We couldn't be happier with the results," says vocalist Sorceron in review of the recordings progress. "The addition of Trym's legendary drumming and the experience on the production/mixing end that James brought to us has been priceless. This album wholly eclipses everything we've recorded in the past and we can't wait to begin playing the new material live."

An intense project with recording and tracking beginning in January of this year, In the Shadow of a Thousand Suns features nine new songs from the band currently featuring keyboardist Ellyllon, bassist Plaguehammer, guitarists Matt Brown and Bjornthor, drummer Samus with band founder/vocalist Sorceron. Girl Teen Band Influenced by Gandhi Releases Songs Addressing World Issues

AVERSE SEFIRA TO TOUR EUROPE WITH GORGOROTH

Philadelphia: Averse Sefira will embark on their most extensive tour of Europe this fall alongside Gorgoroth and Hate. Kicking off at John Dee's in Oslo (home to the annual Inferno Fest) on October 16, the tour will make 32 stops before ending in Birmingham, England on November 29. It will be the band's first opportunity in many cities to meet fans they have accumulated since their inception in 1996. "We are very pleased to join Gorgoroth in their crusade of terror and infamy," said the band in a recent statement regarding the confirmation of the tour. "This will be our largest incursion on the European continent and it is a great opportunity to bring chaos and perdition to so many regions."

The tour is in continued support of the Austin-based trio's latest album, Advent Parallax. Released earlier this year the album was produced by Tore Stjerna (Watain, In Battle) and features original artwork from celebrated artist Jos A. Smith (Bathory). On release the band toured the US with Rotting Christ and friends Immolation; their second tour of the country since signing with Candlelight Records.

MELIAH RAGE REUNITE WITH ORIGINAL SINGER, BEGIN WORK ON ALL-NEW ALBUM

Throughout the course of their career, Meliah Rage has refused to let line-up changes derail or silence the mighty metal quintet from Boston, Massachusetts. And the group continues to live by this rule, as they've just announced the re-entry of the group's original frontman, Mike Munro. After singer Paul Souza exited the band late last year, a six-month search for a suitable replacement began, which led to a dead end. That is, until producer Rich Spillberg suggested that they should contact Munro, and get back to their roots. After being out of Meliah Rage for over a decade, Munro is back for more, joining band mates Anthony Nichols (guitar), Jim Koury (guitar), Darren Lourie (bass), and Stu Dowie (drums).

And in a twist of fate, the last Meliah Rage release to feature Munro, 'Death Valley Dream,' was recently remastered, with its release ­ July 29th (yesterday) - coming right on the heels of the announcement of Munro's return. To mark the album's reissue, a rare, never seen before video from that record is currently being re-edited, and will be posted on the band's website and Myspace page in the near future. Additionally, the Munro-fronted Meliah Rage is currently working on a new record with producer Spillberg (who has worked with everyone from Steel Assassin to Josh Grobin), at Red Devil Recording in Stoughton, MA, and should be on store shelves by early 2009.

DISSIMULATION declare: Give back the dead third album of the black/thrashers is coming later this autumn The acclaimed artists of black circus, the one and only in Lithuania, also known as DISSIMULATION, have finished work at its third full-length album, which was traditionally shifted on tape in almost mythological “Phoenix” studio nearby Riga, Latvia, mid April 2008. Lithuanian sepulchral metal titans have spent only eleven sleepless chaotic days over there, together with sound genius Gints Lundbergs, and have managed to squeeze the entire negative [anti]cultural bundle out of themselves, that has been accumulated since the latest “Prakeikimas” disk, out since late 2005.

Few persons associated to the band, that have already sneaked into these eight vitriolic psalms of negation, have rushed to name “Atiduokit Mirusius” as the most impressive set of songs ever written under the banner of Dissimulation. Admittedly, this proposition is far from the truth. Maniacal guitar riffs sound dead bitter and scornful, notably intensified vocals reach the places earlier dared not an inch to thread, yet nihilistic album is quite bantering as well, first of all due to laconic focused apostate lyrics. The album is obsessed with the idea of consumer culture’s disdain: mankind has lost all its values, mankind is sold out as a whore, it leads itself to utter self-destruction. “Atiduokit Mirusius”, that literally translates as “Give back The Dead”, is presumably the most metaphoric album in the entire DISSIMULATION discography â€" full of negative symbolism, self-destruction visions, and mankind’s hollow.

You are invited to confront the dying world. A malignant confrontation, as mankind is on the threshold of perdition, so... “welcome to the world circus”! Extreme music label Ledo Takas Records is going to release “Atiduokit Mirusius” album this coming autumn in compact disk format. Official worldwide release date is scheduled for Otober 6th. It will be distributed by the well familiar retailers in UK, Eire, Germany, Benelux, France, Italy, Canada, Scandinavia, USA and other countries.

THE ACACIA STRAIN to unveil another new song from Continent Monday August 4; lines up tour with Unearth

Massachusetts' heavy hitters THE ACACIA STRAIN will post another track from the band's forthcoming album, 'Continent,' online on Monday, August 4th along with the third in a series of TAS TV episodes on the band's MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/theacaciastrain). The previous episodes, as well as the track "Skynet" and a pre-production version of "Dr. Doom," are available there in the meantime. Upon completion of the band's current European tour, THE ACACIA STRAIN will play a handful of local record release shows before hitting the road again this fall as support to Unearth and Protest The Hero alongside Whitechapel and Gwen Stacy.

(New York, NY) -- To celebrate the release of their first-ever DVD, metal hardcore pioneers Hatebreed will hit the road in support of their first ever live DVD, Live Dominance (KOCH Records). This highly-anticipated DVD will be released on the same day as the first headlining date of this tour ­ Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008. Tickets for the tour go on sale July 29. Joining Hatebreed will be fellow heavy hitters Emmure, Soilent Green, War of Ages, and Catalepsy.

For this special release, Hatebreed will be doing something it's never done before by taking time out to autograph each and every copy sold of the new DVD at each of these shows. The Live Dominance DVD will be available for sale at the band's merch table each night. Additional details will be made available soon on how the autograph signings will take place.

Live Dominance is set to include over 2 hours of live footage including the full sold-out Detroit, Harpo's show shot in March of this year on the band's Supremacy tour. The DVD will also include a ton of bonus features shot specifically for the release including brand-new band interviews, bonus live videos, fan testimonials, and much much more. Live Dominance was Directed/Edited by Toaster In A Tub's Kevin Custer with musical production/mixing coming from Grammy Award winner, Josh Wilbur (Lamb Of God).
